Álvaro de Campos
The Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library opened to the public in 2006 as part of the National Public Reading Network. It brings together a valuable estate, inherited over time, in a history that dates back to the 19th century. The building combines the citys historic heritage with contemporary architecture, being considered an architectural reference work. It is also the stage for various cultural activities. The Library has been adapting to new information needs, with community involvement as its main axis of action.
The catalog is collective and houses the catalogs of the Tavira Library Network, the municipal library, five school libraries and the municipalitys documentation centers.
